Goals for this Class

My goals for this class would be to simply learn more about the web and all of it's interactivity. I always heard of blogging, but never really thought I would need to seek information about it. Thanks to Dave and the blogging assignment, I now realize the power and usability that blogging contains. It simply, like the video said, brings everything you want to stay informed about right to you, so you don't have to go out looking up stuff through tons of different web sites. I want to learn more about the construction of web pages. I know in Web Design I we covered the basics, and learned some pretty cool CSS techniques, but time has passed and I'm getting a little bit rusty. I would hope by the end of this class to be able to create a layout in photoshop, and be able to create a stunning multi-page layout with ease. Practice makes perfect, and not just practice, but practice, practice, PRACTICE! The more you do the better you get. I would also like to learn about networking. Not like blogs, I already know about them. My mom runs a web site, watchevansville.net, or watchevansville.com, and there anybody can sign up and create a profile of themselves including a picture and unlimited amounts of video clips, pictures, and more. So, in short, if it's not too much, I would like to learn about how to set up a web site similar to youtube.com and watchevansville.net and facebook.com where unlimited users can come and be a part of YOUR community.

Domain Name/Service Provider

Hey everybody, I decided to go with Mister.net for my domain name registration as well as my service provider. Dave recommended it back in Web Design I, and it happened to include every feature I would ever need. I'm not planning on uploading a ridiculous amount of files to the web site, so I decided to stick with the mid-range file size limit, which I believe is 500mb. In picking my domain name, I didn't really come across my ideas being taken. I wanted mine to include my initials, productions, and I wanted it to stand out in a unique, creative way that emphasized by style. I'm big on misspelling words, so I went with www.MRproduktionz.com. Mister.net also has 24/7 support, so I won't ever find myself drowning without a life saver. Also, if I ever decide in the future that I need more space for files, I can simply change my plan and upgrade to a package that's slightly more expensive without a whole lot of trouble. I would highly recommend Mister.net to anybody in search of a good domain name registration/service providing company. It's VERY easy, VERY affordable, and comes with all the nicks and crannies you would want in a package.

Chex Out My Blog Ya'll

Important news update, ya'll. I just created my first blog, and that alone is the most importantly urgent news story of the month, maybe even the year. I now have access to say whatever I want to whoever I want, whenever I want and however I want.
